Strawberry Soymilk - Y2K + 90's Shop

Strawberry Soymilk is a Depop shop and online presence that sells vintage 90’s-y2k clothes. Ethically sourced, environmentally conscious packaging and practices that's going into their second year of business!

Strawberry Soymilk started merely out of hatred towards the fashion industry’s contribution to the textile waste. “Something I’ll always view as art is a disposable commodity in our society. And the role this practice plays in global warming is alarming.” says owner, Kate.

To combat this, they only source materials and items that are headed directly to the landfill. Nothing new, all ethically sourced.

Heavy inspired by the 90’s and early 2000’s punk rock scene, and underground NYC fashion, there’s always something new on the shop!

“I’ve always been inspired by Andy Warhol. He didn’t care if he was doing anything right, he just did what he wanted and that’s what makes me want to be an artist. I can do whatever I want. To me, art equals rebellion. Learn to break the rules.” Kate says.

When talking about future plans, Kate says, “Many ideas and dreams are swirling around my head. From owning a physical shop location, to curating shows for big name designers. But as for now, exciting local things are coming up!” In March they had their first vintage market of the year in Fayetteville, AR.

Strawberry Soymilk has been featured at many Depop events in NYC and London. As well as local events and pop up shops. They are looking forward to 2021 and all the exciting things that are in the works!
