Escape Tones is a fusion trio that tries to marry the ideals of hip hop, neo-soul and jazz together. Based in Fort Smith, AR, band members, Nick McFarland (vocals/keys), Logan Dooly (bass) and Jeremy Trobaugh (drums) started Escape Tones back in 2015 and have been writing, recording and performing shows ever since.
“Being in a band (collaborative art) really lets someone like me connect. Not only to my bandmates but also the ‘audience’. I like that. Plus it’s super fun to make a plan or set list and then carry it out as close to perfect as possible with your friends.” says Nick.
They have made quite their mark on Fort Smith and surrounding areas by playing at shows such as.. The HEM Apparel Pop Up After Party, Fort Smith Round Table Dinner, 7th Street Block Party and The Fort Smith Arts Walk. As well as playing shows with artists such as Greyhounds, Recycled Funk, Mobley and supporting rappers such as Malcolm London as a live band.
The band brings such a fun vibe to each performance and one that will definitely get you coming back!
They will be playing weekly, Wednesday Residency at Prohibition Bar in Fort Smith.
Escape Tones is currently working on a new LP and EP to be released in the upcoming future.
